Alice's Adventures in Bittyland
Join Alice on her fantastical journey to Bittyland. She'll attend a tea party, dance with the flowers, paint the roses red, and so much more. The Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy's Bitty Bear Ballet production of Alice's Adventures in Bittyland will dance across the stage and into your hearts as Bitty students showcase all they have learned from the Season.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Join Alice on her fantastical journey in Wonderland, complete with a sinuous caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and so much more! The Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy's production of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will dance across the stage and into your hearts as students showcase all they have learned from the Season. Dancers will perform ballet, jazz, modern, and tap. Lewis Carroll’s classic tale promises to be a colorful adventure for all ages. You won't want to miss this peculiar, imaginative performance.

Bittyland vs. Wonderland
ONLY Bitty Bear Ballet classes, soloists, and invited dancers will perform in Alice's Adventures in Bittyland.
All dancers in a Pre level and up will perform in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
Short Session dancers, Adult Class, Bitty Bear Tap, and Creative Movement dancers do not perform.
Recital/Production Fee
Recital/Production fees are included in tuition installments. They are non-refundable once processed. The production/recital fee covers the rental of the venue and equipment for rehearsals and performances, set/props, any licensing/permits required, staff and labor at the event, including teachers and technical support, and cleaning up after the event. It will also include your performance digital download.
Costumes
Costume fees are included in tuition installments.
All students in performing classes will require one costume per class they attend. For example, if you take one ballet class and one jazz class, you will need two costumes. All class costumes will be ordered for you and are yours to take home after the performance.

Costumes will be distributed at the same time.

It is the students/parents responsibility to ensure care for all costumes pre-show and to transport them to the performance.

Alterations to costumes are the dancer’s responsibility.

Costumes are to be worn during dress rehearsal and will leave with the dancers after the performance.

After the performance, it is the students/parents responsibility to take home any purchased costumes.

All costume pieces (and other belongings) should be labeled with the dancer’s names.

All costume fees are in addition to recital/production fees.
Chaperones and Backstage Information
During rehearsals and performances only assigned chaperones will be allowed backstage. There will be chaperones for each class. Chaperones must attend the entire performance and the rehearsals. If you are interested in chaperoning please complete the chaperone request form. Any concerns regarding the care of the children may be brought to the front desk before the date of the performance. Any parent who cannot respect this policy for any reason may be asked to withdraw their child from the show.
Tickets
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Alice's Adventures in Bittyland tickets are available on centertix.com. Tickets start at $32.75. We highly recommend that you purchase your tickets early to ensure the best seats.

Recital Pictures
Recital pictures are taken during Studio Rehearsals at the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy. Dancers should come in costume with hair and make up done. Picture packages must be pre-ordered through the Parent Portal.
Dancers will take individual and class photos. All dancers will take pictures.
Pictures will be available 45 days from when the picture is taken.
Picture Day Rehearsal will be at the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy April 12 and 13. Please see the schedule to see what rehearsal time you need to attend. This is mandatory. All dancers should come in costume with hair and make up done. Purchasing pictures is optional and must be done prior to the photo shoot. Photo packages can be purchased in the Parent Portal. Studio Rehearsals will be at the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy starting Friday, April 19th. Please see the schedule to see what rehearsal time you need to attend. This is mandatory. Dancer should come in class uniforms.
Dress/Stage Rehearsal will be at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. It is mandatory. We want dancers to get a chance to be on the stage and become familiar with it before they perform so they can be successful. Once dancers have run their dance they are free to leave after they are checked out. We will text you when they are ready to go. Please do NOT come in costume but bring it. Costumes will be left at the ACPA to be steamed and pressed before performing. Please wear ACBA warm ups or a ACBA shirt with moveable dance clothes when coming and leaving the theatre. Dancers must arrive with hair and make up done.
Schedules are subject to change. You will be emailed in the event of a scheduling change.
Most choreography is taught during class.
