Through Dance Driven, Colby has cultivated programs that challenge dancers artistically and personally—bringing in world-class educators while fostering a culture of growth, discipline, and passion. Colby has served as Program Director and faculty leader for institutions such as Frei Universität, Tanz Planet, and Pro Stage Berlin, where he designed programs that integrated classical ballet principles with urban and contemporary dance. He also directed training and curriculum at MVD Dance Studio, where he mentored instructors, refined technique programs, and guided dancers. Throughout his teaching both nationally and internationally, he has led dancers to outstanding results at both regional and national competitions with winning several competitions in Germany and the US. His performance career includes featured appearances in the Mountain Dew Tour, NBA halftime and pregame shows, the TV series Mobbed, Victor Victoria at Malibu Stage Theatre, the multi-award-winning short film Einstein’s Dance, and music videos including performance and choreography for German folk band Bann Kries. He has danced for internationally touring companies such as BodyVox, The Martin Dancers, and Vaga Lume, and has guested with Fredrich Stadt Palast, and Ballet Stadt in Berlin. His work spans corporate galas, car unveilings for Fiat, international conferences, charity showcases, and European tours. As an educator, Colby is known for blending structure and deep passion. His classes are built on the belief that discipline and joy can coexist—where hard work meets inspiration. He challenges dancers not only to master technique but to become expressive, responsible artists with a lifelong love for movement. Colby also uses dance as a tool to teach broader life lessons, ensuring that every dancer walks away with something they can carry into life beyond the studio—not just as dancers, but as driven, confident individuals.
