Important Update

Dear ACBA Families, We hope you are well and staying safe. Online classes are going very well. We love the ability to still teach our dancers, though we miss dancing with everyone in person and seeing all the smiling faces. We will be able to resume in studio classes with Phase 2. We are extending the season through the end of May to allow for make up classes and the recital/photos.

Recital and Photo Days

We have thought extensively about Covid-19 limitations and upcoming events. We feel it would be irresponsible to continue with a traditional recital. As directed from the CDC, social distancing would be impossible in a theatre audience and dressing rooms. Our number one concern is the safety of our dancers and their families. However, the show must go on and so it shall. With that in mind, we have decided to compile a video recital. Each performing class will be scheduled to come into the studio and perform their dance. ACBA will take every precaution possible to ensure everyone's safety. Should there be any further changes, we will update you as soon as we know. As we draw closer to our recital recording weeks, we will send out schedules and procedures via email.

The current spring season will be extended through May 30th to allow for our recital recording and make up classes. Individual and class photos will be taken in the same block of time scheduled for your recital recording. There is no additional charge for photos this year. You will receive your photos with your DVDs.

Costumes

Most costumes have arrived and are currently being sorted. Pick up times will be scheduled through the front desk. Please keep your eye out for a email or phone call.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Performance and Production Fees

Alice's Adventure in Wonderland has been postponed until May 2021. Zoom classes are great, however it does not allow for the coordination of large rehearsals. We want to assure everyone who has a part this year, will have a part next year, although it may not be the same part. All fees already paid, will be credited back to your account. We would also like to remind everyone that ACBA is a non-profit 501c(3) and If you would like to donate your production fee to the ballet, please email us at info@anchorageballet.org and we will mail a donation receipt to you. Donations are greatly appreciated. We are all still working remotely so please email us is you have any questions or concerns. Thank you, ACBA Administrative Team
